Samurai Shodown VI is one of the later entries in the classic fighting game series. Now over a decade old, it has over 50 characters and at the time offered one last push for 2D gameplay and pixelated graphics before the series moved into the 3D realm with Samurai Shodown: SEN.


Next Tuesday, the title will see a re-release as a PlayStation 2-on-Playstation 4 game, according to the official PlayStation blog. No details on pricing were given, but most ported titles tend to cost between $10 and $20.

I can"t say I"ve ever played SamSho VI, but what I"ve seen of its looks interesting. I might give it a look over the holiday break.
